At first, Bauhaus was primarily a school.
Excellent artists representing the times, like Wassily, Kandinsky, and Paul Klee taught at the Bauhaus as teachers. What did Kandinsky and Klee teach in Bauhaus?
Above all, the lessons the teachers attempted for the first basic class of students were unique, and became a foundation for modern educational methods.Based on that education, excellent designers and architects came from the Bauhaus. Additionally, cutting-age product design and graphic design were born.
So, what did each teachers likes Kandinsky and Klee actually teach in the Bauhaus? In this exhibition, we will show actual programs of Bauhaus classes of each teachers as a pillar of the exhibition that looks at basic education at Bauhaus, which became the foundation for the creation of numerous designs. Everyone can see and feel it.
In addition, this exhibition will introduce the educational curriculum and the activities of each workshops at the Bauhaus.
There will also be a focus on the activities of Bauhaus with the following themes: “Color and Form “, ” Bauhaus exhibition 1923″, “Photography at Bauhaus” and “Four Japanese Bauhaus Students”.
Especially, this is the first opportunity to present four Japanese Bauhaus stutents’ activities all at once.
